Harriet Allman was born 19 August 1827 the 1st of 6 children to Francis Allman and Margaret (Kelly) Allman. She was born in Parramatta, NSW, Australia.

She was christened at St John's Church of England,Parramatta, NSW, Australia, 28 October 1827. [1] Her christening was performed by Samuel Marsden. Also on her christening records they have the family name as Halman.
Harriet married Edward Denning 18th October 1841 at St Peters Church of England Cooks River, Petersham, NSW, Australia. [2]
Together they had 15 children, most of which lived well into and past their 70th year. 4 of their children lost their lives early, their 2nd child Edward was 16, their 7th child Harriet apparently went insane aged 28, their 9th & 13th children Sarah Emily and Emaline were not 1 year old when passing away.
Harriet and Edward Denning lived in the Richlands, NSW area for some time before moving to Taralga NSW, Australia.
Harriet lost Edward Denning in 1890. Between that time and that of her death 21st October 1914 she had been admitted to the Hospital For The Insane, Rydalmere, NSW, Australia, and passed away there.
She is buried in the Methodist Cemetery, Rookwood, NSW, Australia with no marker.[3]
