Henry Anderson was born in 1716 in Dublin, Ireland. He was the son of Roger Anderson and Martha (Paris) Anderson.
He was baptized on 18 July 1716 at St Bridget's, his parents being described as "of George's Lane, Dublin". He was the only son to leave children and succeeded his father in the property and lands at Dunbell, County Kilkenny, Ireland, and he also inherited property under his brother, Paris Anderson's will. [1]
He was a collector of Hearth Money in the time of Freney, the Highwayman, and has various adventures with him. [2]
He married in 1740, , Joanna Watters, sister of Lewis Watters, Town Clerk of Kilkenny. In 1783 he was Seneschal (Steward / Intendant) of the manor of Blanchville, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. (see below)
His will, dated 1 January 1780 with codicil 31 December 1781 was proved 18 November 1790. He died shortly before June 23 1783.[3]
