Obit: "The death of Mr. Fred Andrews at New Plymouth recently, at the age of 75 years, removed a well-known settler. He was the second son of the late Mr Simon Andrews, who came out to New Plymouth in the Timandra and took up land on the outskirts of New Plymouth Here Mr. Fred Andrews was born. As a young man he served in the Maori war, and later settled at Huirangi where he became one of the leading settlers. Moving later to Bell Block, Mr Andrews settled on the Corbet's Road, near the present factory. Disambiguation

Many trees, particularly on MyHeritage, confuse Fred with his nephew Frederick Young Andrews, son of John.
Fred was born, married and died as Fred, not Frederick and with no middle name of Young, which was Fred's nephew's mother's maiden name.
The photo of the latter as a young man being applied to Fred on trees is, I believe, that of Frederick Young Andrews taken from a 3-generation photo of what appears to be John, Frederick Young and the latter's son Nelson, which would age the photo to the late 1910s when Fred would have been in his 60s?
