Biography

Cyrus was born on 17 March 1780 in Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut, United States to Elihu and Sarah Andrews (sic).[1]

6 September 1804, the Baptist Church was organized [in Mount Holly, Rutland County, Vermont]. Elder Cyrus Andrews (sic) was the first resident preacher of the denomination here. His salary as shown by the records was $30 per year." [2]

"The Baptist society of this town [Mount Holly,Rutland, Vermont] has furnished the following preachers for other communities: Cyrus Andrus, William Grant, Jared Doolittle, Larkin B. Cole, Harvey Crowley.[3]

Cyrus married Asenath Calkins.

In 1840, Cyrus and Aseneth are now living in Canton, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.[4]

On the 1850 census, Cyrus and Asenath are living in Canton, Bradford, Pennsylvania, United States with their son, Thomas and his wife Eliza, along with their children.[5]

In 1860, Cyrus is living in Franklin Township, Bradford, Pennsylvania, United States with Robert and Emaline Waters and their children.[6]

He passed away on 15 April 1866. [7] Cyrus died at the age of 86 in Pennsylvania.[8]
