could wife be Mary Waggoner....according to page 154 Lives of Christian ministers; over two hundred memoirs, by P. J. Kernodle indicates Daniel is grandfather of Rev Alfred Apple and indicates great grandfather to be Adam Apple, a Regulator. Rev. Alfred Apple was born December 12, 1812 in Guiliford County, NC and died April 10, 1886 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia where he had finally settled. His great grandfather was Adam Apple was reared and married in Germany. He immigrated to Pennsylvania but removed to Guiliford NC. He belong to the Regulators and took part in the Battle of Alamance. The grandfather who was named Daniel married a woman named Spoon. They reared a large family, one named John who married a woman named Mary Wagoner, and who had the son named Alfred Apple.
