There is confusion over his last name. It appears he was born Moses Arbogast. His mother did not marry John Lunceford/Lunsford until Moses was 4 years old. ALL source documentation has Moses Arbogast, not Lunceford/Lunsford.

Moses H Arbogast (1800-1857) is a different person than Moses Arbogast (1799-1869). Ruth's father was Moses H. And mother Susanna. William's father is possibly the other Moses.
