Biography

Orpah was born in about 1781. She was the daughter of of William Arkinstall and Frances Thursfield.

Christening Date: 3 January 1782
Christening Place: Cheswardine, Shropshire, England[1]

Orpah had a daughter Jane Rock Arkinstall (b. 1813).

She married William Whitmore on 17 February 1817 in St. Peter's, Wolverhampton, Stafford, England.[2]

They had at least two children.

By 1851 Orpah was a widow.

England and Wales Census, 1851: Living in Radmore Lane, Gnosall, Shropshire, England. Aged 69 and a widow.

England and Wales Census, 1861: Orpah was recorded in Navigation Inn, Coton End, Shropshire, England. Aged 79.

She passed away in 1868 at the age of 87.[3]
