Lucy was born about 1725. Her father was Colonel Henry Armistead of Hesse in Gloucester County, who married Martha, the daughter of Lewis Burwell, and died in 1739.[1]
Lucy Armistead was the wife of the patriot, Secretary Thomas Nelson.[2]
She passed away about 1779.
