James married Sarah June Rogers^[3] on 05 April 1941^[3] in Sullivan County, Indiana, United States^[3].

James enlisted in the U.S. Army on 24 July 1943^[4].

James and Sarah had a son: Rev James M Armpriester, Sr.

James Elwood Armpriester passed away on 23 January 1944^[5][6] in Sydney, Wales as the result of "killed by a Tram".
