Sarah was born about 1791 in Cumberland Co., NC. She died after the birth of her only child, Mary Ann Jones in 1819.

Mary Ann Gilbert wife of the Rev.W. H. Gilbert, born Wake Co., N. C., April 19, 1819; her mother died when she was an infant; moved with father, Josiah Jones to Lincoln Co., Tenn. in 1821 and later to Franklin Co., Tenn.; married in 1842; 12 children; died Nov. 11, 1889.[1]
