Given the earlier comments about conflation of Williams d’Aton, can we confirm we have the correct death date, and implicitly identity and connected family? Wikipedia has an earlier death date. Unable to see Richardson’s precis or sources, I’m unable to resolve this to my satisfaction. Anyone have the actual primary source evidence at hand?

His mother is unknown. Margaret de Vesci was his great-grandmother.

* Our Royal, Titled, Noble and Commoner Ancestors & Cousins database online, compiled by Mr. Marlyn Lewis, follows Douglas Richardson's Magna Carta Ancestry. It includes Magna Carta Surety Barons and many of their descendants. William Aton m. Isabel de Vere

William Aton m Isabel Percy

The William Aton-10 who married Isabel de Vere is the grandson of Gilbert Aton and Margaret Vesci.

He is NOT the brother of William Aton-16 who married Isabel Percy. William Aton-16 is the grandson of William Aton and Isabel de Vere.

These profiles need sorting, and Marlyn Lewis has the accurate lineage, sourced.

With all these Aton around, I would have thought that it was the proper name.
