Isabel was heiress to one quarter of the barony of Arundel, but including the castle and honour of Arundel itself. Her Fitz Alan family were able to eventually claim her father's Earldom of Arundel although the legal arguments were perhaps debatable. (See Complete Peerage under Shrewsbury.)

Isabel D'Aubeney [Aubigny-87], married before 1223 (as his 1st wife) John FitzAlan, of Clun, 2nd son of William FitzAlan, of Clun, by ____, daughter of Hugh de Lacy. They had one son, John, Knt. He married (2nd) Hawise De Blancminster. John died shortly before 15 March 1240. His widow, Hawise, died shortly before 19 September 1242.
