Nicholas was born in 1258. He died before 28 Aug 1299.[1] His her was his son Thomas.[1]
Thomas was born in or before 1289 (aged over 10 in 1299). He married Eve de Clavering. He died a minor, shortly before 21 Nov. 1307. They had no issue.[2] His heir was his brother Nicholas.[3]

AUDLEY NICHOLAS Son of James I de Audley and Ela Longespee, brother and heir William de Audley
Nicholas was born 1259 and died short before 28 August 1299.
[CFR EI] 8 January 1283 Ruddlan. Order to Master Henry de Bray, keeper of the lands late of William de Audeldele, tenant in chief, to deliver to Nicholas, brother and heir of William, the said lands and the goods late of William, so that he pay all William's debts; he having done homage. The like to the sheriff of Salop and Stafford, escheator in those counties, touching the lands and goods late of William in his Bailiwick and in Walescher.
[CCW EI] 20 January 1295 Conway. Mandate to commit power to any discreet men by letters under the great seal to enquire about the following custom. Nicholas de Audele has shown the king that Philip Burnel, tenant in chief, who lately died, held certain lands of him in the county of Chester, the keeping of which should pertain to him by reason of the prerogative of a custom hitherto observed in the county, but the escheator has taken the lands into the king's hands as is done in other counties; and the king does not wish any prejudice to Nicholas, who is now serving faithfully in the expedition of the war in Wales.
[CPR EI] 28 August 1297 Tunbridge. Grant to Nicholas de Aldithele, who has gone beyond seas with the king on his service of the marriage of the heirs of Owen de la Pole, tenant in chief, so that his grant yield 200 marks, in part remuneration of the service he is about to render beyond the seas.
[CFR EI] 28 August 1299 Woolmer. Order to the escheator this side Tent to taken into the king's hand the lands late of Nicholas de Aldithele, deceased, tenant in chief. The like to Hugh de Busshy, escheator in the county of Chester.
[CIPM EI V3] Writ 28 August 27EI. Thomas his son, aged 10 on the quinzaine of Easter last, is his next heir. Shropshire – Lee under Brokhurst. The township held with Katherine his wife, jointly enfeoffed by one Bertram de Burgo to hold to them and the heirs of the said Nicholas.
