Abiel Averell, child of John, was baptized Nov 26, 1738 in Topsfield, Massachusetts. [1][2]

Note The above references call Abiel "son of John" and "Male". Probably initially an error that was carried along. The Clara Avery work (below) calls Abiel a daughter and notes her marriage to John Abbey.
