Martha Ann was born in 1840, the daughter of James Avis and Ann Hillier. She married William Neal in 1857.[1] Note the misspelling of "Neal". She remarried to William's brother Edward Neal. She passed away in 1912[2] and was buried in Picton Cemetery, Marlborough, New Zealand.[3]
