Biography

William was born about 1816. Son of Isaac Ayres (~1780-????).

He married Eliza Maria Dagget in St Louis in 1843.

They were the parents of eight children:

1. Benjamin Warren Ayres
2. Robert Wallace Ayres
3. Sarah Sparks Ayres
4. Josephine Meca Ayres. She died at the age of thirteen from scarlet fever.
5. Harriett Helen Ayres
6. William Henry Ayres, Jr.
7. Elizabeth Marie Ayres
8. John Daggett Ayres

William Henry Ayres died on April 2, 1872, from injuries suffered in a fall from his horse the year before. ^[1]
