Biography
Francis was born on December 6, 1842 in Missouri and a son of Albert Alburn Ayers. Francis served during the Civil War, obtaining the rank of a corporal and a member of Company C,, 8th Regiment of the Missouri State Militia Cavalry.[1] Francis married Josephine Keller in 1865 in Polk County, Missouri. [2][3][4][5] He passed away on June 15, 1915 and buried in the Custer Cemetery in Custer, Custer County, South Dakota. [6] He has a death record in the State of South Dakota. [7]
