Biography of Oswald BAR of 1614

Oswald Baer or Bar was born about 1614, the son of Hans Bar or Baer and his wife Anna Biedermann of Hausen, Zürich, Switzerland.

Oswald Baer or Barwas the youngest of four siblings:

1. Anna BAR born about 1595 and lived until at least 1668
2. Hans Jacob BAR 1595-1674
3. Christian BAR 1600-
4. Oswald BAR 1614-1679

Oswald Baer or Bar may have lost both of his parents in 1617? His mother died on January 11, 1617 and his father died a few months later on July 20, 1617.

We don't know raised Oswald, but it may have been his older sister who was born before 1600, and would be at least 15 years old when Oswald was born.

Oswald Baer or Bar's family was Calvinist.

Oswald Baer or Barmarried three times and had several children

1. his first marriage was to Barbara Unknown, the mother of his son Ulrich who was born in 1635. Barbara Unknown passed away in 1635 or 1636.
2. his second marriage was to Anne Ringger, born 1619, who was five years younger than Oswald, and she passed away in 1637 during the 30 Years War. This marriage was of short duration and probably there were no children.
3. his third marriage was to Elisabeth Lamprecht, born in 1621, seven years younger than Oswald, who bore him several children and who passed away in 1662 at the age of 41 years old, leaving Oswald a widower for the third time.

Oswald Baer or Bar passed away in 1679 in Rheinland-Pfalz, Holy Roman Empire.
