Rebecca was born at Salisbury in the Massachusetts Bay Colony on November 24, 1641. She was the daughter of John and Eleanor Emery Bailey.[1][2][3] Rebecca's first marriage was to Isaac Browne at Newbury on August 22, 1661.[4] They had seven children together before Isaac's death in May of 1674:[5]
Ruth b 26 May 1662
Thomas b 15 Sep 1664
Rebecca b 15 Mar 1666/7
Dorothy b 5 Nov 1669; died young
Dorothy b 7 Apr 1672; prob died 14 Apr 1672
Daughter (Mary?) b 5 May 1673

Rebecca Browne submitted a statement to the Essex Court in September of 1679. It expresses her (and Isaac's desire) that son Thomas should inherit the land that he [Isaac] had of his father. She reports that "my brother [-in-law] Francis Browne and my uncl John Emery" (Eleanor Emery's brother) will assist her.[6]
Rebecca was married again on June 22, 1697 to John Doggett of Marshfield as his third wife.[5] John predeceased Rebecca and died in 1718. He provided for her in his will[7] and she lived until 1731.[8]

Doggett, Samuel B., A history of the Doggett-Daggett family (Boston : Press of Rockwell and Churchill, 1894) pp. 341, 362.
Based on that entry, John Doggett had 3 wives: Persis Sprague 1673 Hingham; Mehitable Truant 1691 Marshfield; Rebecca (Bailey) Brown 1697 Newbury. Some merges need to be proposed.
Al, do you have any further info on Rebecca? I checked the Newbury VRs and this death date matches this entry: "DOGIT, Rebeca, Aug. 25, 1731, in her 91st y." That makes me think that she's the same as Bailey-263, with a later marriage after Isaac Brown. Your thoughts? Maybe a merge is in order?
