Thomas was born in 1825 to John and Sabina.[1] The family migrated to South Australia on the Fairfield in 1840. He married Janet McKenzie in 1851.[2] He was a miner, though not very successful and gave up prior to his death to become a bootmaker.[3] He passed away in 1888.[4]
