The manor of Hitcham was granted in dower to his wife Parnell when Thomas Ramsey died.[4]Their daughter Elizabeth was born two months after the death of her father and inherited the Hitcham property on the decease of her mother Parnel in 1527. [4]
Parnell Baldwin married 2) Edward Borlase, Esq., son of John Borlase and Margaret Kingdom, circa 1525.[5]They had one son:
John Borlase, Esq. (b. 1526, Little Marlow, Bucks; d. 6 May 1593, London) m. Anne Lytton (b. Apr 1532, Knebworth, Herts; d. 21 Jan 1620, Little Marlow, Bucks), daughter of Robert and Frances (Cavalery) Lytton.[6]
Research Notes
The death date of 1527 needs to be verified (Parnell died in 1527). She married 2) Edward Borlase ca. 1525 with whom they had a son, John. She outlived her second husband who died in 1544. On her death the manor of Hitcham which she held in dower from her first husband Thomas Ramsey went to their only daughter Elizabeth (? Anne) Ramsey. [4]
Parnell was co-heir to her father, Sir John Baldwin, Knt. Chief Justice of the common pleas.[7]
