Walter is listed in the Baltimore City Directory for 1860 as a painter with his business at 6 St. Paul St. and a dwelling at 84 N. Greene.[1]
The home of Walter and Mary is described in an advertisement for the sale of the house order by the Orphan’s Court 19 JUL 1865 in the Baltimore Sun:
lot of ground on the west side of North Gree St. beginning 50 feet north of Saratoga fronting on Green St. 25 feet & 100 feet deep. The house is a well-built three-story brick dwelling with a large basement.[2]
