DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Joe or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
  • Joe Bamberg: Family Tree DNA Y-DNA Test 67 markers, haplogroup J-M172, FTDNA kit #365777
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joe:

Hey Joe,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards .

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

Welcome to our community, Joe. :)

Our Honor Code, G2G forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages. We've got a DNA project if interested. Just click on 'Find', then 'Projects', and scroll down until you get to the DNA project.

Please consider stopping by the Tree House to introduce yourself.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only ONE profile per person.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!

I am a retired scientist and researching our family history along with tracing DNA matches is a hobby of mine. I agree with the mission and the rules are reasonable.

Joe --

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
