John was born in 1779. He was the son of Joshua Banks and Dorothy Craft. He married Polly, daughter of Joel Farnsworth, 9 Sep 1811,and lived on the mountain above Hampton and died 1834. She m 2nd Deacon Hall, a soldier of Wellington's army. He passed away in 1877 [1] Polly d. 1888, aged 95.
