May 1862- Crosskeys/ Port Republic
June 1862- Gaines Mill
7/1/1862- Malvern Hill/ Seven Days Battles
July 1862- moved to Featherston's Brigade of Wilcox's Division
8/ 28-30/ 1862- 2nd Battle of Manassas
September 1862- moved into Anderson's Division of Longstreet's Command
September 1862- Battle of Sharpsburg ( Antietam)
12/20/1862- Battle of Fredricksburg
May 1863- Battle of Chancellorville
7/1-3/ Battle of Gettysburg ( the regiment has a monument here)
5/5-6/1864- Battle of the Wilderness
5/ 8-21/1864 - Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse
5/12/1864- Battle of the Mule Shoe
8/21/1864- Battle of Weldon Railroad
Surrender on 4/9/1865 at Appomattox Courthouse
apparently B.D. Bankston is buried at Mt. Herman, Washington Parish, LA
US Census 1900 lived in Ward 4, Tangipahoa, LA
he was married to Elsiba Bankston, and had these children Robert L. Bankston, Green J. Bankston, Rolley S. Bankston, Ollie J. Bankston, and Hanford E. Bankston.
