Gerard was born in 1673, in Agen, Guyenne, France. Fils de Jean Barsalou and Helene Lamarque. Il est décédé en 1721, à Montréal.
Marriage
He is recorded as being 26 when he marries Marie Catherine Legras (1684-1737), son of Jean Barsalou/Barcaloy and Hélène Lamarque, of France. The marriage took place at Notre-Dame-de-Montreal church[1].
His last child is born in June 1721, with no notice that he was deceased on the baptismal record, and his wife remarries in November 1721, so he would have died in the interim. They had 14 known children, 6 of whom died young.
