Biography

Reuben Barber was born in 1802. He was the son of Joseph Barber and Nancy Goad
Reuben Barber was enumerated in the 1830 census for Campbell County, Virginia and listed next to Joseph Barber.[1]
Reuben Barber's name is found on the Greenup County, Kentucky Tax List in 1839 along with Joseph and Pleasant Barber. He is not listed again until 1842 when Reuben Barber was taxed for 100 acres. The property was located on Hood's Creek of East Fork as shown by the 1845 and 1846 tax lists for Greenup County.

Residence 1850

Reuben's age was 48 in the 1850 census and he resided with his wife Frances and their children in Greenup County, Kentucky.[2]
