DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Leah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Leah:

I went through 100s of records on ancestry. I found the 1830 Federal Census an they don't list names of anyone other than the head of household, what it did say was free white persons, male 5 thru 9 total 2. Which it could be.

Larry Hayer and Kitty Smith made the contributions to this profile. on this page down loaded the info on this profile. You might be able to msg them. I find on the bottom of the Find A Grave #25287981 that he is burried North Carolina, Union County, William Valentine Smith Family Cemetery. Patricia

Does anyone have a source that identifies the children listed here with Jacob Smith? Valentine Smith is my 2xgreat-grandfather (there's no contemporary source found yet for the given name William). I have DNA match suggestions for people descended from Leah Barringer.

Barringer-531 and Barringer-96 appear to represent the same person because: clear duplicate please merge

This is first time I've seen her birth year as 1782 instead of 1792. What I've seen shows her to be John Paul's next to last child.
