Biography

Helen Barteaux was born 2 Dec 1834, the daughter of James Barteaux and Parney Wheelock of Torbrook, Annapolis, Nova Scotia^{[1] [2]}

On September 9, 1858, she married Harding Theodore Spinney, son of James Spinney and Ann Gates Crocker of Kings County, Nova Scotia^[3]. Their children included^[4]:

1. Ruby Lavinia SPINNEY, b. 1857^[4], who married Albert Dudley Benson^[5]
2. James B, born February 22, 1860^[6], who married Mary Elizabeth Fitch^{[7] [4]}
3. Ingram Judson, born 1862, who died Jul 1866 (see Findagrave Memorial #157817810)
4. Anna Elizabeth SPINNEY, born 1863^[4], who married Isaiah John Bruce^[8]
5. Parney Samantha SPINNEY, born 1865^[4], who married Charles B. Williams^[9]
6. Rowena Salome SPINNEY, born January 7, 1870^{[10] [4]}, who married Noble John Lyons^[11]

Helen Barteaux Spinney died in 1906, and is buried in Greenwood Union Church Cemetery, Greenwood, Kings County, Nova Scotia^[12]
