Biography

Julianna Bartuzel was born on May 7, 1892, in Ślądkowice in Dłutów parish^[1]. She was the oldest child of Stanisław Bartuzel and Tekla Bartuzel born Kopias. Her father was a farmer (земледелец).

She was baptized two days later, on May 9. The witnesses were Adam Wnuk, aged 40, and Tomasz Wnuk, aged 35, farmers from Ślądkowice. The godparents were Bartłomiej Piesik and Julianna Walach.

At the age of 25, she married 23-year-old Stanisław Sobieryn, son of Jakub Sobieryn and Elżbieta born Adamkiewicz, on November 26, 1917, in Dłutów (Ślątkowice)^[2]. The witnesses were Dominik Kopjas (Kopias), aged 60, and Ignacy [Anuszcza], aged 30, farmers (włościanie gospodarze) from Ślątkowice. The marriage record was signed by the Rev. Andrzej Szarecki.

Stanisław and Julianna had three children^[3]:

• Jan Sobieryn, born in 1918,
• Zofia Sobieryn, born in 1920,
• Genowefa Sobieryn, born in 1922.

After Stanisław's death on 1923^[4], Julianna married his brother Józef Sobieryn in 1925 in Dobroń^[5].
