An excellent snippet of his life, from "A standard history of Lorain county, Ohio", has been posted to his Find-A-Grave memorial, by LindaB on 12 Oct 2009, from which we learn that on 4 April 1893, he married Sarah Standish of Bridgewater, a lineal descendent of the infamous Capt. Myles Standish of the Mayflower. After removing to Western New York, he was injured in a skirmish at Buffalo, NY during the War of 1812, and they afterwards settled near Rochester ... They later (after he was 70 y.o.), made another move to Lorain Co., Ohio, where they spent their final years. He died in 1853 and Sarah in 1854. They were both buried at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst, Lorain County, Ohio.
We find his children's names, from the same article: Thomas, Phoebe, Sarah, Naomi, Betsey, Freelove, Amanda, Emily and Charles
An article appearing in the Elyria (OH) Chronicle Telegram in July of 1929 provides additional information about Nathan and his family, and the image is attached.
