Barbara was born 12 May 1792 and died 11 Sep 1873.[1]
Age
Based on her age in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses, she was born in 1789, 1789, and 1787, respectively. These years are significantly different from her birth date in the cemetery record (12 May 1792) and fit better with the probable birth date of her first child, Catherine. If Barbara was born in 1792 and Catherine was born in 1807, she was then only 15. Moreover, 1792 is inconsistent with her age in the 1840 and 1830 censuses.
Based on the 1850 and 1860 censuses, her husband was born in 1788 and 1787 respectively, whereas the cemetery record says 25 Dec 1789. If he was born in December 1789, he was only 17 when Catherine was born.
There is no firm evidence that Solomon was William's son; he might be his younger brother. However, we need both a boy and a girl born before 1810 to fill the 2 10-16 slots in the 1820 census. Solomon is satisfactory for the boy. See the census comparison in the notes for William.
