Rebeka Bayse was born in Northumberland County, Virginia, a daughter of Edmond Bayse, Jr. and Lydia Karrenhappoch. Rebecca was already married when her father's estate was probated in April, 1748, in Northumberland County, and he referred to her as his daughter, Rebecka, wife of William Lunceford. [1] (See image)
Rebekah Basye and William Lunsford were married in 1745. [2]
Researchers Notes
The following need further research to meet WikiTree requirements. Note: Although these children come from various sources they cannot ALL be her children, simply based on the dates and places of birth (four children born in 1760 is doubtful!)
Rebecka married William Lunceford, a son of John Lunceford, Sr. and Mary Wingate. Children of Rebecka and William may include:
William Lunceford, Jr. married Rachel Matthews Goad, on October 25, 1786, in Amherst County, Virginia. [3]
Nimrod Lunsford, born 1760, in Granville County, North Carolina, died April 21, 1847, in Alexander County, North Carolina, married 1) Elizabeth Wyatt, 2) Jennie McCombs and 3) Rebecca Foster [4]
Elijah Lunceford, aka Lunsford, (twin?) born June 13, 1760, in Granville county, North Carolina, died 1811 [5]
Elisha Lunceford aka Lunsford, (twin?) born June 13, 1760, in North Carolina, died March 7, 1821, in Wayne county, Kentucky, [6]
Agnes Lovia (Lunsford), born June 24, 1760, in Amherst County, Virginia, died June 3, 1840, in Rockbridge County, Virginia, married George Hight [7]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rebecka by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rebecka:
Basye-418 and Basye-18 appear to represent the same person because: they share a similar birth year, the same parents, the same siblings and the same spouse, William Lunceford/Lunsford.
Basye-359 and Bayse-22 appear to represent the same person because: Father is Bayse. Same spouse on both profiles, same son Nimrod on both profiles. Looks like this person was accidentally created twice.
