Biography

James Beaman was the son of Francis Beaman and Mary, his wife. He and Mary Perkins both appeared at the Rich Square Monthly Meeting held on 15 Dec 1774 and declared there intention to be married. Jann [sic] White and July [sic] Pike were appointed to inquire into Mary Perkins' life and to conduct a clearance for them to marry. They were to make their report at the next Rich Square Monthly Meeting.

Research Notes

15 Dec 1774: Appeared with Mary Perkins at Rich Square Monthly Meeting, Northampton County, North Carolina, declaring their intention to marry.[2]

21 Jan 1775: James Beaman ad Mary Perkins appeared at the Rich Square Monthly meeting it find out the answer concerning their proposal to marry. They were granted permission to marry. Elizabeth Outland and Rachel Daughtry were appointed to attend the marriage and see to in that it is conducted in an orderly manner and to report back at the next meeting.[2]

08 Feb 1775: It was reported at the Rich Square Monthly Meeting that the marriage occurred between James Beaman and Mary Perkins.[2]
