Biography

Gerald Eugene Bean was born at Jay, Maine in 1904, the son of Eugene Bean and Charlotte (Pike) Bean.^[1]

He married Helen E Masterman on 24 Nov 1927. They were the parents of three known children:

1. Irma Lorraine Bean b. 22 Sep 1928 @ Livermore Falls, Maine, d. 24 Mar 2005 @ Lancaster, New Hampshire;
2. Carolyn Esther Bean b. 3 Jun 1931 @ Livermore Falls, Maine, d. 11 Oct 2007 @ Guilford, Maine;
3. Byron E Bean b. 24 Nov 1934 @ Livermore Falls, Maine.

The 1930 US census report for Livermore Falls, Maine shows Gerald Bean (25) residing at 19 Prospect Street with his wife Helen (20) and daughter Irma (18 months). He married at age 23, Helen at age 18. Gerald is employed as a foreman at a paper mill and they rent their home for $16/month.

The 1940 US census for Livermore Falls shows Helen M Bean (31) as the respondent, and that they own their home valued at $1500 at 30 Searles Street. Gerald E Bean (35) is a repairman at a paper mill, and their children Irma L (11), Carolyn E (8) and Byron E (5) live with them.

He married Mary E Drake Cushman (1905-1996), widow of Elwood Cushman, in 1969.

According to the US Public Records, in 1995 and 1998 Gerald was a resident of Wilton, Maine.

He died at Wilton, Maine in 1997 and is buried at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Livermore Falls, Maine.
