Biography

Elizabeth Beaumont, Baroness of Cramond (1576/7-1651) was the daughter of Sir Thomas Beaumont and Catherine Farnham. She m.(1) Sir John Ashburnham, son of John Ashburnham and Mary Fane[1] and (2) Sir Thomas Richardson on 14 December 1626.

Through the influence of her 2nd husband, she was created 1st Baroness of Cramond [Scotland] on 29 February 1627/28, with remainder to Thomas Richardson and his heirs of the body, the only living son of Sir Thomas by his first wife Ursula Southwell.
