Biography

George was born in 1926, the son of George Becker Sr. and Theresa Aiken. George grew up not remembering his father, who died when he was only two, then losing his mother when he was 10. Fortunately his grandfather Aiken and his aunt Josephine stepped in with parenting duties. He was recorded on the 1930 census with his mother, grandfather and three aunts.[1] Having lost his mother as well, in 1936, he was recorded on the 1940 census with his grandfather and Aunt Josephine[2]

George had an interesting and successful career as a preacher, and rather than repeat all the details, we post the following from his 1998 Obituary.[3]

Obituary, Rev. George A. Becker, Leader-Telegram, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 18 Oct. 1998, Pg. 18

He passed away in 1998, and was interred in Elmwood, Wisconsin.[4]
