He was baptised George Francisco Dolores Bellomy but used the name George Washington Bellomy and George Francisco Bellomy and also the alternate surname spelling Bellamy. The California State Census 1852 George W. Bellimy (sic) was 1 year old and resided with his parents G. W. and Maria Jesus Bellimy in Santa Clara County, California. [1] He was age 21 in 1871 when he was listed on the California voter registration rolls. [2]
In the 1900 census George W. Bellamy stated he was 47 years old and born in January 1853. [3]
