Biography
Edwin Benedict was born on 19 Mar 1863 and was baptized the next day in Saint-François-de-Sales parish in Odanak, Yamaska. He was the son of Salomon Benedict and Mathilde O' Bomsawin. Sponsors at Edin's baptism were Sifroie Comtois and Victoria O' Bomsawin. At age 20 Edwin married Marie Anne Denis on 3 Jul 1883 in in Saint-François-de-Sales parish in Odanak. There were nine known children born into this marriage. Edwin died at age 84 on 11 Jun 1947 in Odanak; he was buried two days later on 13 Jun in Saint-François-de-Sales parish cemetery.
