Thomas Bennett was born about 1755 in Scituate, Providence, Rhode Island, son of Nathan Bennett (1723 - 1797) and Susannah (Sweet) Bennett (1729 - ). Thomas's son was Nathan Bennett (1781 - 1849).

Thomas died about 1822 in Washington County, New York, USA aged ~67.
