Biography

Elizabeth Benson Marsh was born in Rensselaer, New York, on May 31, 1761,^[1][2][3][4] the daughter of Stutson Benson and Bersheba Lewis. She was the 1st of 11 children (Elizabeth, William, Abigail, Stutson Jr., John, Benjamin, Marah/Mary, Sarah, Peter, Seth Paul, Olive).

On September 14, 1779, Elizabeth married William Marsh (1753-1831).^[1][3] They had 10 children (information below from The Benson Family Records^[1] and Lewis Cemetery records^[3]):
