Biography

Martha (Benson) Hall was born in Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts on 3 November 1644, daughter of John Benson Sr. (about 1608–1679) and Mary (Williams) Benson (about 1610–1681).[1]

Martha married Dea Richard Hall (born before January 8, 1644 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts; son of Lieut. Richard Hall (about 1625–1691) and Elizabeth (Collicot) Hall (about 1629–1693)) in 1672.[2] Their children were:

  1. Joanna Hall (1669–after 1725)
  2. Sarah Hall (1671–1690)
  3. John Hall (1673–1763)
  4. Richard Hall (1676–before 1761)

Martha died on 24 May 1680 in Bradford, Essex, Massachusetts, aged 35. She was buried in Ancient Burying Ground.[3]
