Pamela was born at Drayton on the 7th of June, 1850, and baptised at the South Petherton Wesleyan church. She was the daughter of Joseph Best and Hannah Gillett.[1]
She probably migrated to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia as an assisted immigrant via the Royal Dane, arriving on the 25th of September, 1869. An Annie Best was recorded with her, aged 21, who could be her sister Ann.[2]
Pamela married Stephen Willard in Queensland on the 17th of June, 1871.[3]
