Sophie immigrated to North Dakota onboard the SS Columbia, departing from Hamburg and arriving in New York on 27 April 1901. She was traveling in the company of her parents, Johann and Caroline Bierwagen, along with her siblings- Wilhelmine, Wilhelm, Ludwig, Julie, Daniel, and Friederike. [2][6]

Sophia married Daniel Roehl on 12 February 1902 in Hebron, North Dakota.[7]
In 1920, Daniel and Sophia were living in Township 136, Grant, North Dakota, United States with their children: Edward, Emma, William, Paul, John, Robert, Ben, Marry and Martha.[8]
Death
Sophia Roehl passed away on 24 Apr 1922 in New Leipzig, Grant County, North Dakota, USA.[3]
