Sophia (Bierwagen) Roehl was a Black Sea German.

Sophia Bierwagen was born on 10 April 1884 in Leipzig, Bessarabia, South Russia to Johann Bierwagen and Caroline Wolf.[1][2][3][4]

Sophie immigrated to North Dakota onboard the SS Columbia, departing from Hamburg and arriving in New York on 27 April 1901. She was traveling in the company of her parents, Johann and Caroline Bierwagen, along with her siblings- Wilhelmine, Wilhelm, Ludwig, Julie, Daniel, and Friederike. [2][6]
