Biography
The only authority for William Billopp's existence that I can find is the Wikipedia entry on Christopher Billopp (also Billup, and Billop) the Royal Navy Officer; it describes William Billopp as the father of the subject in question. It is the only link between Christopher Billopp (the elder) of Staten Island, and the Billopp's of Beverley, Yorkshire, England. Any firmer grounds, in the positive or the negative, would be appreciated.
