FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. LUCETTA FISHER
Mrs. Lucetta Fisher,78,native daughter of Oregon and widow of the late Sidney Fisher,died last Friday at the home of her daughter,Mrs. John Eid.Death was due to natural causes. Mrs. Fisher was born in Butteville on June 23,1859.She came to Canby in 1878,and was married to Joseph Knight that same year.Knight died in 1901,and she married Sidney Fisher in 1902. Mrs. Fisher is survived by two daughters,Mrs. H. A. McCutchen (Alma),Molalla,and Mrs. John Eid (Mable),Canby;two brothers,Charles Birtchett,Marquam,and William Birtchett,Monitor;three sisters,Elviry Avery of Salem,Mrs. Inez Adams of Molalla,and Mrs. Martha Knight of Canby;five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Methodist church,with the Rev. Wayne Wright,pastor of the Ridgefield,Wash.Methodist church officiating. The Christian church choir sang and the pall bearers were also from the same church of which Mrs. Fisher had been a member for over 40 years.Acting as pall bearers were D.C. Garmire,Ray Fish,W.J. Miller,T. Anderson,Otto Pellatz and Tom Ollivez.Interment was in Zion cemetery.
