George married Mary Elizabeth Coslett on 13 April 1903 in Llanddewi Rhondda, Glamorganshire, Wales.^[3]

George James Bishop Ayres (age 70) died in 1949 and was buried on 5 January 1949 in Winterbourne, St Michael the Archangel, Gloucestershire, England.^[4]
