Ada Mae Russell

Ada Mae Russell, of Texas City, passed from this life Saturday evening in Texas City.

Born Sept. 3, 1910 Raleigh, Miss., Mrs. Russell had been a long-time resident of Texas City, having lived in the Galveston County area for the past 27 years. Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry William Russell and her daughter, Ida Sue Carroll.

Survivors include her daughters, Henrietta Phillips, Mary Jane Waddell and Mamie Lambert, all of Texas City; Lula Molina of Santa Fe and Jeanetta Miller of Texas City; brother [sic s/b son], Henry Russell of Dallas; sister, Lelia Bishop of New Orleans; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. today in the chapel of the Hayes Funeral Home, with the Rev. McJohn Bagley officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be George Ernest Lambert, Murrel R. Lambert, Steven Carl Lambert, Raymond Messinger, David Starr and Donnie Stephen.^[5]
