Biography

Mary was born in Washington, D.C. around 1814.[1][2][3][4]

She first married David Wilson on 18 Mar 1829.[5] They had two daughters.

David passed away 22 Oct 1944 and Mary married Henry Berckmann on 9 Oct 1850.[6] and they had a son John born in DC 1853.

Mary died on 12 Aug 1875.[7][8][9][10][11]

Research Notes

1875: 1315 Union SW, Washington, D.C.[12]
Although Samuel Black and Barbara Jones as the parents of Mary and her brother Samuel S. Black is probable, especially as the wedding between Samuel and Barbara preceded the birth of Mary and Samuel at an appropriate time-frame and each of those events occurred in Washington, D.C., it would be better to get further evidence before setting the confident flag.
