Biography

Sarah Mary "Sally" or "Polly" Blaidell was born in Pictou, Pictou County, Nova Scotia on February 10, 1772. She was the daughter of Moses and Anna (Sanborn) Blaisdell.

Sarah Mary "Polly" Blaisdell married Moses Saunders in 1789. They settled and raised their family in Orland, Maine. They had thirteen children as follows: Elizabeth b. 1789, Moses J. b. 1790, Nancy b. 1791, Anne b. 1792 (died in infancy), Mark Riggs b. 1794, Luke b. 1797, Matthew Henry b. 1801 (died in infancy), Drusilla b. 1803, Hudson b. 1805, George b. 1807, Joseph b. 1809, Daniel b. 1812 (died young), and GN (died in infancy).

Sarah Mary "Polly" passed away on February 28, 1848 in Orland where she is also buried.
